Glam Hipster Diaries is finally back with a new look and I’m letting you in on my everyday skincare essentials.
A few of my fellow South African beauty bloggers & myself have come together to share our ride or die products over the next few weeks. This post is all about the skincare essentials that I swear by. The #RideOrDieTag was originally introduced by Jaclyn Hill. One of the natural hair and beauty bloggers that I love, Mzansifro, thought that it would be a great idea for us to join forces and share our faves.
My skincare essentials:
- Neutrogena Visibly clear Correct & Perfect complexion scrub
I received this awesome product from Beauty Bulletin a while ago and I haven’t put it down since. After using it my skin instantly feels clean and refreshed.
2. Essence Cosmetics Pure Skin purifying nose strips
I have an oily T-zone and these nose strips are great for removing excess oil. The ingredients include salicylic acid and white clay which are great for the skin. I don’t really have blackheads but these nose strips are supposed to remove blackheads, refine pores and skin texture.
- Garnier Micellar cleansing water
I’m pretty sure we all know that facial wipes sometimes struggle to get all the makeup off of our faces. The Garnier Micellar water has been a hit among beauty bloggers so of course I had to go out and buy it to see if it lived up to the hype, and it did. This product not only easily removed makeup, but it also cleanses the skin. A double win!
- Neutrogena Visibly Clear Correct & Perfect CC cream
I’m all for high coverage foundation because it gives that flawless look but some days a girl just needs to feel like she got light coverage and can let the skin breathe a bit. I use this CC cream for work most days as it provides light coverage and works to correct and perfect imperfections. Lately I’ve been getting an odd pimple here and there and this helps to clear up the marks while also giving bit of coverage.
- Avon conditioning eye makeup remover lotion
I have been using this baby for a few years and I swear by it for stubborn eye makeup like waterproof mascara. On the days where I wear a lot of makeup I feel like a lot of makeup removal techniques don’t work to get everything off and if they do they leave the skin feeling dry. This product not only removes eye makeup fairly easily, but it also moisturizes the skin. Let’s face it, we’re all trying to avoid those fine lines around our eyes so moisturize, moisturize, moisturize!
Keep a look out for next week’s ride or die hair products. What are your skincare essentials? Join in on the fun and tag #RideOrDieSA and #RideOrDietag in your social media posts.
