I recently received the new Neutrogena Visibly Clear Correct and Perfect range from Beauty Bulletin which includes a complexion scrub and CC cream. I have been using both products for over a week and my skin has drastically improved. These products couldn’t have come at a better time as I had a break out, something that rarely happens to me as I generally have had good skin. So here I was, on the hunt for a solution to clear up my skin and even out my complexion.
The promise: Correct skin imperfections while stimulating the skins natural renewal process, as well as keeping imperfections perfectly concealed.
This was my first experience with Neutrogena products and I am impressed. After the first use my skin instantly felt refreshed and soft. This complexion scrub is made with a combination of micro-beads and salicylic acid that exfoliate the skin but don’t strip it of moisture. It is important to consider using moisturizing skincare products during winter, as the skin tends to dry out more easily. After my sudden break-out last week the scrub has helped to soften the skin and lighten the dark marks that were left behind and even out my complexion a bit, a big win! I would recommend this complexion scrub to any and every one.
I applied the CC cream every morning after using the facial scrub and I enjoyed it as it helped to even out my complexion and give light coverage. Due to having a break out, I decided to take a break from using foundation every day. The CC cream did a great job at giving enough coverage to make me feel comfortable enough to go to work without a drop of foundation in sight. This product not only provided coverage, but it simultaneously worked to correct these impurities. It is oil-free so it worked well for me as I have an oily T-zone. It’s a great product to use during summer, but it might not particularly be the best product to use during winter if you have dry skin. I do, however, feel that it is quite limited. The CC cream only comes in two shades (light and medium) and I think there should be at least one dark shade to cater for all the melanin beauties. It comes in a 50ml container and I feel that it is a bit pricey for the size as it is the same price as the scrub which comes in a 150ml container. Overall, it is a great product but there is room for improvement. I would recommend the CC cream to people with oily or combination skin.
I put these products to the test to see what’s possible and I must say, I have a new found confidence. I feel more confident to face the world without any make up because these products have worked to even out my complexion and conceal the marks left behind by the nasty pimples that popped up on my face.
The Neutrogena Visibly Clear Correct and Perfect complexion scrub and CC cream come in awesome, eye-catching packaging that easily dispenses the products. Both are available for R99.95 each at selected Clicks, Dis-Chem, Foschini, Pick ‘n Pay, Checkers and on Takealot.com
